About SSL Certificates
Here’s a breakdown of what SSL certificates do:
Encryption: SSL uses cryptography to scramble data as it travels between the browser and server. This makes it unreadable by anyone who might intercept it.
Authentication: The certificate confirms that you are the legitimate owner of the website. This helps users trust that they’re interacting with the real deal and not a fraudulent site.
Trust Indicators: When a website has a valid SSL certificate, most browsers display a padlock icon and the address bar shows “HTTPS” instead of “HTTP”. These visual cues assure users that their connection is secure.
Overall, SSL certificates are essential for any website that collects sensitive information or wants to build user trust. They also play a role in improving your website’s search ranking on some search engines.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account or password. As a result, it is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer.
